The purpose of the concerts is to raise funds for the Scripture in Schools Programs currently run in Wauchope, Beechwood, Huntingdon, Telegraph Point, and Long Flat, Public Schools and also Wauchope High School. Money raised will be used to provide materials and support the many volunteers who freely give up their time to teach Scripture each week.

Local entertainers Helen Mottee, Russell Clucas and Angus Gill will donate their time and talent to perform, and they will be ably supported by local church bands, local choirs and dancers from the Wauchope & Port Macquarie Performing Arts School. Entertaining video clips will also be shown between items.

“We are planning to offer two really entertaining events that we are sure the public will enjoy,” said Will Jamieson, the current High School Scripture teacher and member of the Ministers’ Association.

“We will have something for everyone, and are really looking forward to showcasing the exceptional local talent that we have here in Wauchope.”

Both concerts will be held at the Wauchope Public School’s new hall. “More than Just a Gig” will begin at 7pm on Saturday September 8, and “A Pleasant Sunday Arvo” will commence at 2pm on Sunday September 9.

Tickets are $12 adult/$6 concession, $25 each for a family or $90 for a group booking of 10 adults.

Tickets are available for purchase from Bago Real Estate and Classy Café or by contacting Will Jamieson on email or Peter Huxley on email.
